I'm Kat — an Australia-based web developer and creative technologist. I work at the seam between design and code: equally at home tuning a client's WordPress site for the long haul, shipping a clean Shopify store, or building something a little more experimental just because the idea is good.
I collaborate with designers and studios worldwide as their build partner, and work directly with businesses who want someone who'll actually look after their site — not disappear after launch.

Like a builder works from plans
Web development is different to web design, just like building a house is different to designing it. My job is the builder's: turn plans and visions into a working product — coded to the approved design, visible to search engines, right on every device, and secure. No designer? I can design and build together, or connect you with one of the designers above.
Projects run smoothest when everything arrives organised and in one go. Here's what I'll ask for:
The team
Who's responsible for what — development, content, design, IT, final sign-off. Names, emails and timezones so nothing stalls.
Mission + brief
A few sentences on what the site is for and how you'll measure success, plus a brief: key dates, budget, integrations, what you love and hate about the current site.
Content + site map
Copy-and-paste-able text per page, web-ready images in a clearly named folder, and a simple map of pages and their hierarchy. Spellchecked and approved by the whole team.
Designs and/or references
The signed-off final_final_03_2 versions only. Figma, Sketch and Photoshop are great. InDesign, never. No designer? Send links to sites you like and I'll take it from there.
Hosting + access
Hosting access at the start of the project so what I build is compatible, plus any related logins — analytics, email marketing, commerce accounts.
Nothing beats organisation. Having all of the above at the start saves time, money and frustration — and gets your site live sooner.
